On July 22, 2022, the Appeals Court ruled against the plaintiffs in a lawsuit claiming that male circumcision is a waste of taxpayer money. The case was filed in July 2020 based on a unique Massachusetts state law and pitted Massachusetts taxpayers against the Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services. Andrew Delaney and Peter Adler were the lawyers in the case.

On August 12, 2022, Peter and Andrew filed with the Supreme Judicial Court, the state Supreme Court of Massachusetts, a request for further appellate review. The Supreme Judicial Court exercise its right to decline to hear the case on October 31, 2022. This unfortunately ended the case with no further possibility of overturning the previous decision.

Despite the unfortunate end result, our hats are off to the legal team and we wish them the very best.
