In February 2012, Slovenia’s human rights ombudsman announced that “circumcision of boys for non-medical reasons is a violation of children’s rights” and “ritual circumcision of boys for religious reasons in our country, [for] legal and ethical reasons is unacceptable, and doctors should not perform it.”
